Just thought this might be useful information to some.
No doubt you've noticed that sometimes your GPS will take 15-25 minutes to connect right? Well this generally isn't just buggy software, it's something unavoidable which all GPS's must do regularly, which is updating the almanac (which it must download from the satellites).
The almanac contains a list of where all the satellites will be at specific times and other info which the GPS cannot work without.
So yeh if it's taking forever before you go doing any hard resets, carry it outside and leave it somewhere safe for halfa, chances are when you get back it'll be connected and the new almanac should last for around 30 days (not sure on specifics there).
