Help why does swype on nexus need access to calls info?

I was going to try the swype keyboard on my galaxt nexus, but why on earth does it need access to phone call info?

Also, the permission to prevent sleep, is that just while typing, ie, it's not going to mess up battery life is it?

I don't have an answer for you, but can you tell me where you got the keyboard? I can't find it in the app store, all I see it the ripoff "Slideit" keyboard...

you have to actually go to the Swype website and sign-up/download the app from there

It probably needs phone call info for if you're typing and a call comes in, the keyboard knows to disappear and not stay on the screen.

I've used swype on all of my phones. It's safe, and definitely my favorite keyboard.
