Why does the "cloudagent" take up so much space????

If you go to Settings -> Storage -> and look at the space taken up by "Miscellaneous files" - mine takes up a whopping 5.81 GB.

What does yours take up?

Second question, if you click on "Miscellaneous files" , the first entry in the list that comes up is "cloudagent" and that is taking up 3.56 GB. What is this cloudagent and why is it consuming so much space??

I just figured out how to clear some space from Cloudagent! Do you have Dropbox installed with CAMERA UPLOAD Turned on (in Dropbox settings) and also Pictures and Video Sync enabled in Settings->Cloud->Pictures and ->Videos in the phone? That is causing the hogging of space in Cloudagent.

To solve this, go to Settings->Cloud-> then disable ->Pictures and ->Videos.

I have also left the Dropbox CAMERA UPLOAD turned on, so that each picture stored in the external card of the phone (in my case) is uploaded to Dropbox but doesn't leave another copy in cloudagent.

Thanks, this cleared up loads of space. I had to do one more step though: settings -> storage -> miscellaneous files, tick "cloud agent" then delete (dustbin/trash can icon on a Samsung).

If I delete everything in here what will it do
The only thing that will happen is you will no longer see your dropbox pictures in the gallery. Shouldn't be a huge problem especially if you have the app installed bc u can view them that way. You just have to choose between convenience or more space (personally I'd rather have the latter).:D:cool:

YOU SAVED MY ARSE!!!! Thank you.
I felt like life was coming to an end as my storage was just about filled.
Couldn't figure out what to do... asked so many people... and as the impending deadline came I got more panicked.
Your tips did the trick... for now anyway. (And I did go into CloudAgent and delete it as well, as one of your respondents suggested they did.)
THANK YOU!
