Basically I have to press the touchscreen rather than lightly touching it. Is that normal for the l9?

Why does the lg optimus l9 touchscreen seem less sensitive than other phones?

I can operate mine by barely touching my fingernail to it.
As a mater of fact I'm testing as I type to see how hard I must touch, and unless I try to BARELY touch the screen it registers.
On other phones, if I was careful I could touch lightly and it wouldn't register, on my last three I can't do that.
I can get it to not register touch only through extremely light and fast taps but it's hard to do more than twice in a row.

My metro l9 seems to have good touch response. Unless of course if my fingers are wet or sweaty.
