Why get a DX2 over a thunderbolt?

If size is a concern, I don't know why you are debating between the TB and X2 because they are almost exactly the same size. It all depends on what you want. TB does have terrible battery life, but has4G, the only reason I would take the TB over the X2 is because of 4G. I chose the X2 because of the Tegra2 processor and I already like the style and design of the X and had all the accessories.

3G is still fast enough for me, just weigh the pros and cons to each and then figure which one you like best. dual core > single core, 4G > 3G, those kind of things. Then test them out in store, I played with both for a bit, I just liked the layout of blur better than the Sense UI.

Well hope that helps make up your mind to what you want!

Gpu gpu gpu. My wife has a thunderbolt and I have a dx2. Sadly my phone doesn't feel much faster. Unless you play games. The thunderbolt gpu is trash. An embarrassment. The gpu on the dx2 is pretty good. Overall the dx2 is ok imho.

Thunderbolt is a mess, I would not touch that piece of crap again for a million dollars. Reboots, ear splitting volume every call, battery life from hell, unpredictable battery in general. However I loved the screen, looked great whoever commented on it being dim IMHO was wrong or got a more defective unit than the ones I had.

I don't have any personal experience with the DX2, but I would avoid the Thunderbolt like the plague. The MR2 update fixed the random reboots, but it's still rather glitchy all-around. If you're in a 3G area, battery life is sufficient. If you're in a 4G area, you will basically need a charger at some point during the day unless you either don't use your phone or turn 4G off. And if you have to micro-manage when you have 4G on or off, what's the point?

The Thunderbolt's greatest strength (4G) is also its greatest weakness. And if you remove 4G from the picture, it's just an oversized mediocre phone with last year's specs. 4G was just turned on in my area and I'm planning on selling it for a Droid 3 ASAP.

If you want 4G and FFC, get the Charge...good dev support, 4G, good speed even w/a single core, and much better battery life.

Or...wait a bit for the Galaxy S2 or Bionic... :)
