WHY GS3 got hot easily?

My GS3 cellphone was facing a big issue that the handset gets overheating easily since last month. Not sure whether this problem is causing by the Processor, battery, software or other hardwares of the device…Then I troubleshooted the GS3 myself, and my first idea was to replace a battery so I take out a MPJ 6000mah replacement battery for S3 which was fully charged and swap it to see if it is the oem battery should be blamed. I don’t know whether I am lucky or not----the result is…yes, I need to replace battery….the good thing is i don’t need to continue to troubleshoot my phone…

I already know cable, battery or charger malfunction, Low hard disk space and more usage may cause the problem… But still, wander what are the other possible issues might cause Samsung S3 overheating??

Ohter possible reasons why it could overheat or get hot is if it's been playing a game for a long time and that the game can be a little intensive, processes like GPS can cause it to get warm, updating the firmware can cause it to get real warm I noticed, and overclocking it's CPU can most definitely cause this as well.

My first GS3 got very HOT. Took it back. The one I got as a replacement does not.
I would take it back.

Just to add. Bning in a low signal area will cause heat/battery drain. The battery being used hard causes heat. Mine has got to 57

I'm having the same problem.
My GS3 gets hot very easily, and battery life is pathetic. In standby with airplane mode on and wifi off, the battery drops from 100% to 90% overnight. Thoughts?
