Why I will never buy a Pixel.

I like the google android why no carrier crap and fiddling with the OS to be the way they want it I go nuts figuring out my wifes S-7 and where they put the setting at to make it her way! the nexus 6p spoiled me to the android way and I came from an iPhone 4 and thought it was the cats meow when new but when I seen all that you could do in android to make it as you liked well game over only way I'll leave android is when I take my final dirt nap! but we are all individuals and so what we like are willing to pay is normal.

now my question is how much does it really cost to make any current manufacturers phones today verses what the msrp is that is the real question to be asked and answered as to how much were over paying!

The were the disrupters of the industry, just like Sprint's John Legere changed the face of providers by having no contracts, etc. Now? Google is the same as everyone else.. just another good brand. Expensive, just like everyone else.

Me? I'll wait for the One Plus 7T. I'm pretty much settled. One Plus is the game changer... a flagship fone for 600.00? Come on! That's a no brainer.

Well we've had the 3a models which offer good value for their price, a 4a is due, and there are rumours that there will either be a 5G 4a or (more recently) a 765-based Pixel 5 (a better 5G solution than the 865+separate 5G chip). So as long as they resist the impulse to charge flagship prices for the latter there are signs of improvement in their value proposition - indeed given that sales, as far as anyone can infer from the limited information they release, have never been stellar, moving the entire Pixel range to midrange and concentrating on the software - a resurrected Nexus strategy if you like - would make a lot if sense.
 
Thanks Hardon, been considering of getting a it, I might do more homework, but at least this is getting to the point of where I can decided on my choice when shopping at Verizon though. I really adore my Moto z2, but it is another emotional suitcase for me, just do not want it, even though had it forever though.
 
After the battery failed at about 2 years use on both my HTC M9 (bought a couple of months after launch and 10 (bought about 12 months after launch), compared to my Desire S (bought a couple of months after launch and still working with the original battery) and M7 (upgraded from the Desire S a couple of months after launch with 5 years before battery failure), decided it was time for a change.

So my wife and I have now got a Pixel 3a each, bought 5 months ago, and are delighted with them. They were £299 each from Carphone Warehouse compared to over £350 for the HTC 10s bought 2½ years ago.
