why in world use atk when you can use droid app runnng function

Not discussing validity of task killers here, but if you wanted to use one, what does free atk do that Droid app running icon can't do?
 
ATK and taskiller show and kill alot more running programs than the one that the phone came with...for example: ATK or Taskiller will show like 20 running apps...but if you go to the running services thing that was in the rom it will only have 1 or 2

and they show processes as well
