Why is it called 'HTC people' and not 'Contacts'?

Total newbie.
Loving my new HTC desire. Just got everything set up the way I want, but...
Can't I rename 'HTC people' to 'Contacts'?
HTC people is a rubbish name. Am I missing something?

You could use Folder Organizer Lite to change the name (and even the icon) if you want. You can get it for free from the market.

I just tried that. It let me change the name to 'Contacts' but it doesn't seem to have followed through and changed it on the phone. confused...

You have to add it as a folderorganizer item from the widgets menu.
