Having just moved to a Samsung Galaxy Note from an HTC Hero one of the few puzzles is why Samsung use the term USB to refer to the internal storage. Can anyone help me understand, please?
Probably because you're using a usb port to access it. Mine gave me the option to put things on the internal storage or the microsd card, so it seems to work for me.
I don't understand. I've got nothing plugged into the USB socket. But the Note says I have 11.07GB of USB Storage, which it seems to use in the same way as the Hero used SD card storage.
In what context were you asked whether you wanted to internal USB storage or SD card storage?
There's another thread somewhere that goes into it but there is no consistency in naming. It's called USB storage in the interface (when it is not called SD Card) but contains a folder called USB Storage (and another called External_SD_Card - though that makes sense as it will just be a symbolic link).
When installing SSL Certificates USB Storage refers only to an external SD Card. Elsewhere in the interface, manual so on the External SD card could be referred to as SD Card or External SD Card or External Storage. Sigh.
