Why is the phone so cheap?

I'm about to go out and buy one but I gotta ask. Why is the thing so damn cheap?

Basically it is an HTC thunderbolt with a smaller screen and no LTE.

The battery is also slightly larger (1450mAh vs 1400mAh).

Definitely a worthwhile phone if you don't need/want 4G.

I look at it as the phone is inexpensive not cheap. It's not uncommon for cost of electronic devises to drop after having been released. It doesn't necessarily mean its a bad product. To me cheap implies poor quality. I think this is a great phone.

Saw this post and was about to write the same thing. Great phone for a great price. nuff said

Got the phone today and really love it. Takes some getting used to though because I came from the DROID X.
