Why is there no option to load previous Firmware (Suggestion)

With all the problems with new firmware releases especially recently, Why isn't downgrading to previous firmware a standard option in all smartphones?

What i mean is currently, to downgrade back to 4.1 there is a known procedure to do this but there is risk and I for one am not savy enough to attempt even the easiest steps and I fear for whatever reason I will brick my phone and/or void my warranty.

Suggestion. Add to the firmware an option to reload previous firmware.

Specifically:

From the factory reset menu option in settings,

1. Option A: Factory reset to current Firmware version (And actually list the version I.E 4.3) and then option B: Factory reset to previous Firmware version (I.E. 4.1).

Would also be nice to have an option to save currently running Firmware (the one that is working currnently and 100% functional) and be able to reload that if a new Firmware screws up your device. So before you start the firmeware udpate, you save your current version and reload it if needed. Kind of like saving the current image.

Why can't downgrading be that simple. I cannot believe this day and age this is not standard on all smartphones unless of course there is some technical reason this is not currently available

thoughts?

Yeah I agree about being able to make a backup image.
You can if you root the phone and install custom recovery but yeah, an easier way would be nice for peeps who don't like doing things like that
The reason you can't is probably because there's so much different hardware and putting a backup on the wrong phone would kill it.
PS, until 4.3 on the s3 you could easily downgrade but now there's a secure boot loader for Knox

And this is why I root my phone. The 4.3 update gave me nothing but problems the 1 day I tried it. Luckily I made a backup of 4.1.2 on my sd card.

And just to reiterate what Funky said you can't downgrade from 4.3 if you got the update OTA or through Kies since they changed the boot loader. IT WILL BRICK THE PHONE!

Wow did not know that.. Samsung really wants folks to feel the full duration of the pain resulting from a problem riddled firmware update.. unbelievable

Lol its a security "feature" for people who use their phone for work but they really should have made it optional.
What problems are you having on 4.3 mate?
Any major issues ive seen have been fixed by a data wipe

How can I uninstall Knox? Anyone?? I mad the error of upgrading and added in Knox, now I cannot get rid of it

sorry once your virginity is taken and your knox`ed up there is no safe way to get it back. it is gone period move on.

Any attempt to downgrade or replace/remove your bootloader can and will BRICK your device ie perma kill.

Lucky I stopped using Samsung firmwares ages ago. I'm still stuck with one of the older boot loaders, very easy to reset and do whatever I want.
