Why is Touchwiz so sluggish?

Not sure what I was expecting from TW, I've always been a stock android guy, having a N4 then a Moto G but even comparing the Moto G to the S4 is like day and night, the Moto G is buttery smooth, no stuttering, everything happened instantly but not on the S4, it is just sluggish, I have disabled all the Samsung rubbish bit its still sluggish.

Anyone elses like this? Or is this just the norm for TW?

TW is just like that. I like Samsung and all but I always try to install a different launcher like Nova or even root the phone and install a custom ROM like CyanogenMod (but that's more advanced though).

I've never used an Android device that was buttery smooth and I've used a few.

I prefer the freedom that goes with Android over the restrictions of Apple but the iDevices I have used have all been smooth.

I have a Note 10.1 2014 which is powerful with a lot of memory but it still isn't buttery smooth by any means. My iPad Air is though. I've never been sure how much this is caused by the Dalvik layer (a lot I suspect) and how much that Apple just cares more about the user experience but this is definitely an area where Apple is well ahead.

Touchwiz is a bloated hog and exacerbates the lack of smoothness inherent in pretty much all Android devices unfortunately.
