Root Why isn't this working?

So, I just bought, a Nook Color 1.4.1, and decided that i wanted to root it. So, after finding my 4gb microsd, i followed all instructions provided on this page, using the traditional clockwork img. I burned the 4gb image of CWM, and moved my cm-7 rom to the sdcard. (Note: i had no errors while i made the boot-able card.) I was able to access and burn the img to the sdcard fine, but when ever i turned my nc on, it just went through the normal boot sequence... What can i do, and i'm sorry if this is just an operator error...

So, after checking out the links you posted, i came to realize that my Nook is actually not a Nook Color... Its a Nook Tablet. Sorry for wasting your time with my fundamental error... I'll make sure i have the right equipment next time... Afterthought: do you perhaps know if you can root a Nook Tablet? and if so, have you made a thread?

Thanks for the help... sorry for my temporary (hopefully) mental inadequacy... I found a post on the xda-forums (here)... What do you mean by slightly less mature software?

The Nook Color has had several stable releases of CM7 in the past and that work/drivers was used for CM9.

I suspect many of the NC drivers and code was used for the Tablet, but it's a new device, potentially with new issues (like the locked boot loader).

So, thanks to your assistance, i got cm7 installed and up and running! Thanks so much! Now, do you know how to flash a BT5 rom?
