Help Why more services are running in RAM

Dear Friends, I am a fresher to Android Phone - Samsung Galaxy Y.

I have taken new Y5360 mobile handset. Recently i have observed that so many services are running in RAM memory. I have stopped couple of services but after some time they are automatically coming UP and running. Please find the services using settings->Applications->Running Services->Running tab

The following services are always running. I would like to bring down couple of them permanently how can i do that. Please also note down i have switched off packet data.

wssyncmlnps - 2.0MB
DRM content - 1.7MB
Software Update-4.5MB
Google Services-6.0MB
Email-5.3MB
SNS-0MB
SyncmIDS-4.2MB
Swype-8.1MB

Regards,
Rajesh Galla.

Please note that these are the minimum services required to be running in the background for the android os to work properly and that's why they get started automatically even though you stop. However you can stop some these services like Email and Swype. To stop Email, you need to disable Background Data option from "Accounts and Sync" under Settings. TO stop Swype, you need to change type of keyboard to Samsung Keyboard under Input options in Settings.

Are those running services eat up battery life? because I just bought a new Samsung Galaxy Y and ive noticed that the battery life is really not that long. Ive tried to turn the wi-fi off and end all the apps in the Task Manager but still the battery life wont last longer than 2 days?

Waiting for answer..thanks..

This is an android, they don't light up for very long. But battery life can be extended considerably by lowering the screen brightness to it's minimum. Also switch off unnecessary sounds like notifications for messages. Switch off screen animations. And don't keep many widgets on the home screen. Let the wallpaper be simple. And switching off wifi, packet data, accelerometer when not needed is a must. My battery survives for more than one and half a day of solid use.

Also, keep the number of applications and data to a bare minimum. Greatly increases speed too.
