Root Why my GPS sucks...

Im currently on the sense rom for 2.2.1 and it seems that since i've flashed my gps never works right. It always loses signal and says searching for gps signal even if im on 3g with full signal. It never used to that before on the rom zero for 2.2. Anybody have any suggestions or ideas I can do to help fix this problem? Everything else is perfect except for my bank of america app always crashes (prolly just the crappy app). Occasionally I'll get google.framework or something along those lines force close. But thats rare though possibly related?

gps has nothing to do with the data connection unless using network location. I have a couple of gps.conf's I may try in future builds. I have seen Bob has tried a few but no feedback if they made a difference yet. Mine are diff from his so we will see. ;)

If your location shows up on the stock browser just beneath the search bar and its correct your GPS is working properly. Lol...not to bash (okay maybe a little) but Bank of America is cheap and so is their app. To be honest I use Chase and they suck too :) Just wipe your Google Maps cache, reboot into recovery, wipe the dalvik and then everything should be tip top again :)

Thanks I just did that I will report back after using the gps somemore. It seemed to always follow me just fine but would say lost gps connection then searching for connection although it followed me fine. Just didnt give me audio on where to go lol

Here's the solution for your navigation: Go to the Android Market and search "Speech Synthesis and Data" Download the standard one and other language packs if you like. It's a one-time installer so after you install it and it saves the directory SVOX to your SD card it will show up on the market as not installed but that's normal. It's more of a plug-in than an app

Well the first fix didnt work. Its slightly better but still mostly useless. Im downloading that app now so I'll try that. Im also going to try the car navigator see if it still has the same problem.
