Root Why No CM9?

Hi all, im here with another question:
I see a lot of work going on around CM10, but why didnt anyone make or try to make a CM9 build for us? Considering that we already have ICS, wouldnt it be easier to just make CM9?

That's a good question honestly...

what happened is that a developer made an alpha of CM10 that booted on our device....so the other developers have been working on making that ROM work flawlessly...

if someone had made a bootable CM9 ROM then that is what the developers would be working on...


it's honestly really hard to get a rom on a device with a locked bootloader and we're lucky that we have the one....and it pretty much was all happenstance...

its more of cm9 is being left behind and its a breeze to jump from cm9 to cm10 (and cm10.1 besides kernel stuff). usually you get one and you get all of them

From what i read for all supported devices CM9 was frozen, as they were satisfied with the final commits and last builds.

quite frankly ics sux in comparison to jellybean. In my experience cm10 is much easier to work with than cm9 was and like said development on cm9 halted when they went to cm10+. My goal(s) is cm-10.1 aka 4.2.2.

well 4.2.2 is a big dream until we can get the bl unlocked, so I wouldnt get any high hopes for 4.3.
