Why no FireFox on the Ascend?

Well FireFox 4 just came out and I see they updated the Android app so I decided to try it.

Problem is it won't let me install it and I know from the past that this is because it is NOT compatible with my Ascend.

However in the past the Market has said the app needed Android 2.2 or better etc. (I'm talking about other apps that wouldn't install to my Ascend) but in the case of FireFox the Market says it only needs Android 2.0 or better yet it won't let me install it. The stock Ascend is 2.1 as is the Icarus 1.1 mod (which I'm running).

So what the frack?

Pisses me off.

It's because of our ARMv6 processor. It needs an ARMv7 and 512M RAM. We aren't the only phone with this problem. Here is the link to their website:

Our current browser (with Icarus and I don't remember for stock) is at least Mozilla based but it we probably will not get a "Firefox" browser.
