I confess to being ASTOUNDED at the omission of an unread count on the gmail app, or rather the lack of a official gmail widget! Crazy it doesn't exist, I took it for granted that there would be one, something I took for granted on the iPhones mail app. The 3rd party widgets in the Market seem flawed and largely failure/unreliable, so I'll have to exist without it but Google....really?!
Of course, if I'm missing something, PLEASE shoot me down and point in the direction of a solution!
