It will not fail.. It's timing is perfect (and imperfect) for me and I imagine many thousands of others on T Mobile US.. Like me, many many myTouch 3G users are ohh so close to the 24 month mark and this comes out just in time as a replacement.. Over the past 2 years I have followed what has come out by HTC and the other handset companies, but I have kept my phone and it has served me well.. I have no idea how the Motorolas and Samsungs compare to mine after 2 years of use and abuse.. I only know that my phone and HTC have impressed me with how it has held up.. So that said, my next phone is going to be an HTC as well.. So from a replacement standpoint the timing on this phone is perfect.. It becomes "imperfect" not because of HTC or the Sensation but due to the fact that AT&T is trying to buy T Mobile.. However, even if the deal goes through I will get a year to 18 months of whatever phone I upgrade with. and there is still a chance it may not go through.. So I have decided to just go for it.. This will be my myTouch replacement.. If AT&T was to also offer it, that would be the smarter way to go.. but the thing is, and I don't know why, AT&T doesn't seem to purchase much from HTC and when they do it seems to be way below cutting edge... So, in the US anyway, I think that the merger problem will affect it.. but fail ?.. I don't think so.
