Because hardware is mass produced. The CPU chip in your phone isn't the exact same as the next one in the batch, so on and so forth. Overclocking makes the CPU run at a higher temperature than it was designed for, and considering the Admire has the MSM7627T chipset, which is just a factory overclocked MSM7627, so it comes already overclocked. 800mhz is the maximum suggested operating frequency of the CPU. Pushing it any higher can have undesired effects.

S'ok. Working on the kernel for Jellybeans, you can go up to 900. 800 is default. Ext4, etc. You know what to expect.

lol i learned the hard way too, my battery has enlargened and its prolli short-circuited or whatever (touch input gets very weak when battery gets low, sometimes the battery is miscalculated and using my data drains my battery like hell) smh

after i posted this thread i went looking into the forums, which i something i do weekly or just when bored. and i saw the thread you made explaining overclocking. idk why i didnt see it earlier before :/ but now i know
