Help Why the Google icon 'G' not here?

The Google search icon 'G' is not seen here. As a result, there's no search function from within the keyboard. This device is on Android 11.
What could be the problem?

I've noticed it's not on my Gboard either, with Android 12. Maybe Google removed it with a Gboard app update? Perhaps someone else could confirm, yay or nay. I don't usually use Gboard myself.

Well, here are the screen shots of the Gboard, on my Samsung S20 Plus, running Android 12.

i haven't looked, as I don't usually use Gboard, but maybe there's an option in the Gboard settings for the G Google key?

Yes, you are right. In Gboard settings, there's a toggle option to show or hide the "search & more" button.
However, there's another version where the search option is not available.
See the screen shots.

With the latest version they have removed the search button altogether.
No more "search from the keyboard function" in Gboard, which they used to highlight so much.
