Ever since I flashed my first custom ROM ("L" Awe on a ZTE Awe) I have never been satisfied with a stock ROM. Even on phones without custom ROMs, I customize them myself with debloating, trading out system apps like the keyboard, music player, file manager, etc. I am confused when I see someone who knows a bit considering giving up root and a customizable system in exchange for an official Lollipop release. Am I missing something? Is there anything at all better about an official than an unofficial ROM? On the Zmax, our customs are very stable, so I won't buy that as an issue. There must be a few things I'm unaware of or overlooking. Could someone fill me in? I wouldn't even consider taking the Lollipop update until it can be rooted and I can make it mine. What am I missing here?
