Why we still need MicroSD cards

that writer is a jerk,,,,
98% of Americans have access to LTE?
I guess he only lives in heavy metropolitan areas.... places where folks don't even own a car... they just ride the metroline to/from their place of work, or tent in the alleyway.

get off the highway in rural USA and you can forget about LTE, and even 1x in a lot of the places here where I live. Streaming anything is useless.

see the background in my avatar? that is just about all there is to see in most of the places I go. in some of those places, roads are a dusty trail left in the dirt... forget about pavement.

FWIW all our "streaming" apps, always have a download button for every song and album. So you can always listen to them offline if you want.

The writer of that article sounds like a whiny, spoiled emo hipster. "Nobody had music on their phone, because it's 2015". Boo hoo. That's why I would never pay money for a streaming music service. I just think it's funny that the one time in his coddled life he didn't have mobile data, he takes to the interwebs to write a lazy, crybaby article about it LOL.

Although I do stream music and vids, I primarily use my SD card for apps, music, pics/video, recording, office stuff, etc... I am not going to leave all of my personal stuff in the cloud to be sold off or hacked. Having said that, the SD card is much needed for my phone.

Yeah I wish my 16gb phone had SD support purely for music.
All my pics and vids I trust to Google's cloud :thumbsupdroid:

I was gonna ask that about Play Music, does it let me upload unlimited music and stream it for free?
Any way to rout it through PowerAmp?
Do I need a PC to upload it?
