Why won't it play wma files?

Boy does this stink...so the only option I have for playing WMA files on my Nook Color running Phiremod is to pay $5 for PowerAmp? I can't believe that there are no free music players (out of about 15 I already tried) that can play a WMA file.....

Uh oh. That usually means seedy things are taking place.

Another option would be to, you know, not use .wma files. Why not .mp3 or .ogg or .flac?

I do love PowerAMP though. It is a great music player app.

i live in ireland and i have a samsung phone and no matter how hard i try i cant get it to play my .WMA files, they copy onto the SD card no problem and play on my laptop, and they are the only songs that dont play!! Help!

I really do endorse poweramp. I know those files SHOULD JUST PLAY, but alas!
