Why would I - or anyone - buy anything from a sucky MetroPCS store? (And ALL MetroPCS stores suck)

Theres a loop-hole here you do have unlimted 4g data to a certain point but what you guys failed to read was the fine prints states any abnormal data use will result in being throttled. now i know you guys going to say well thats not unlimted then and you guys are right but what metro didnt state is in what time frame are we unlimted? so if in a month ive used 10gb and they dont fuss with me but in one week i used 5 gb and they hassle me for it makes me believe they dont care about how much we use in a month but they worry about how much we use in a short time period. anyways bottom line im with ya on this i believe unlimted should mean unlimted regardless how much you use in a short time period.

Technically it is unlimited. All carriers that say unlimited, offer unlimited data use. Do they ever just "stop" your data service? No. You are able to use it without it ever being cutoff. Now, it doesn't say unlimited at full speed.

So as to the last part of your statement, it should say Unlimited at full speed is what it should say.

Until there is just 1 tier of data speeds, "Unlimited" will never actually mean "Unlimited at full speed". :D

But notice the others say "First (what ever amount) data at blazing-fast 4GLTE speeds." But the fully unlimited ones say "Unlimited talk, text and data. Unlimited data at blazing-fast 4GLTE speeds" so its kinda implied that you shouldnt get throttled

In my history its shown that little licensed stores have horrible cs but I've always had amazing experience with metro corporate stores. They always seem to be on my side and looking out for the little guy. While the small stores employees can be rude and arrogant but corporate stores are always good for me.

I agree. It's all about interpretation which is why they can't be sued for it. They know exactly what to say and how to say it. Just like reality shows with "reenacted" events. haha

I hate to have to agree with you but at least for cell companies when talking about your account and your money, I have to agree.

ESPECIALLY if your poor a** is doing battle with a carrier for re-uping. Since there is no verifiable trail of what they tell you over the phone they will SAY ANYTHING! to get you to re-up then if they say later, "Oh No, that's not what we said", you have NO evidence to back up your side.

Verizon found this out the hard way last time I re-uped. I had a girl puromise me the world to get me to re-up (Like just to start a $400 credit to my account) then they tried to reneg on the deal. That was until I sent them the MP3 files of the phonecon and said, I don't think so Tim. Your people said it, now you're going to Do It.

You need to do a quick check on the taping laws in your state, in Fla. for a phone conversation you have to give notice you are taping, just like THEY give you. (You can almost hear the rep get knocked back a step when they hear YOU telling Them they're being taped.) OTOH, with the Mighty Motion, recording the call takes 3 button hits, phone/speaker and voice record/start. :D

It's sad that you have to do battle like this with a carrier but they sure aren't watching out for you, no one else will do That For You but you.

When I hit Record on the Motion it says

The Metro phone system is a complete waste of their money. OUR money actually that we've paid Them for service. Those Indians were The Hardest for me to understand of any I've heard anywhere. Impossible. If I didn't take all the posts here to heart that say you can do most everything yourself, this alone would steer me away from Metro.

Actually they don't use Indians, I used to work in one the the places they contracted their support to, it's in Dallas.

If not Indian than Pakistani.

They may have Some CS in Dallas but even Metro has stated they have CS Worldwide.

I KNOW what an Indian accent is but thanks for trying.

The deal expands T-Mobile’s customer base by 9.3 million customers, and it adds much needed spectrum to the T-Mobile efforts to launch its 4G network. However, T-Mobile and MetroPCS workers face a more uncertain future. The percentage of outsourced work will surely increase, given that MetroPCS now offshores 100% of its customer service work. The combined company is also hoping to gain $1.2-$1.7 billion in synergies from the deal. The Real T-Mobile hopes that is not code for U.S. jobs.

Try most, unless you called overnight you were talking to either Dallas, or another call center in Arizona. Though interestingly there were a few ex pat indians in the Dallas call center, maybe you got one of those.

Ok guys you do know that some store owners will screw you over.
Apparently when the gs3 was $100 off I went to get it but the good stores didnt have it. The bad store that I went to had it but said they didnt until the sale was over.
Really.

all industries have their shady, bad people... I will say though you can thank MetroPCS for those fees... They did change what the dealers make on phone sales to peanuts, and I mean peanuts, especially on upgrades. Also, they made hassles/red tape to go through to get the money... Either way, you can still find good dealers that will work with you. You can find authorized dealers that will handle things for you. I used to run multiple stores for authorized dealers, and I made sure no one, not even Metro's website beat me... I waved all kinds of fees and gave free accessories... The authorized dealers like CASH :)
