Help Wi-Fi Indicator always shows weak signal..

On my S2, the wifi signal always shows very low compared to the actual signal. Other devices can show full strength and my phone shows only 1 or 2 bars/lines, even when twenty feet away from the source.

Anyone else?

I'm wondering if the phone is actually receive the signal weak for some reason or is it just an error in the way the wifi symbol displays the strength.

I've noticed that the signal indicator on my S2 doesn't show as strong a signal as my old OG Droid did. I'd get 3 "waves" at work (I'm sitting 20 feet from the router) on the Droid, but only 2 on my S2.

The wifi on the phone is terrible.

i gave up at home. my home wifi only went about 25 feet down a hall if that, and only 1 wifi wave.

i also have a microcell @ home and get 3 to 4 bars max just 10 feet away, but it is behind a bedroom wall. but still - only 10 feet point to point. i don't bother with wifi anymore, and just use the microcell.

I will get full bars on my laptop, while getting only 2 waves on my phone. I thought it was odd. Every once in awhile it will go to 3, from the exact same location. Strange.

Agreed...always shows a low signal but I've never had a connection issue.
