Wi-fi issue at home

Newbie
This weekend I ran into an issue connecting Cappy to my home secured wi-fi network. All other devices (laptop, wife's iphone) were connecting fine and I was able to connect to a neighbor's unsecured network. I entered my password again and then it said "obtaining IP address" but never actually connected. Any ideas what settings I am missing or why I may be having this problem? Thanks.

You may want to reset your router (unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in). Your router is, most likely, acting as a DHCP server and providing IP addresses to the devices that connect to it. It may be unable to provide any new devices connecting with an IP address, but devices that already have an IP address keep their's for a period of time.

I assume you're still running stock 2.1?
I had a wifi problem when running that, too. Home and work networks would lose connection and never reconnect. I would have to restart the phone to connect again.

Now that I'm running the Perception ROM my wifi issues are better.
Before I switched I used this app: Wifi Fixer for Android
It kept me connected.
