Wi-Fi issue on 2.3.1 tablet.

My 2.3.1 gingerbread shows connection on my new viewsonic tab, but any time I try to browse or even register my kindle app, it drops connection. I set a static ip and this did nothing. We have an android 2.2 on a cruze and it drops occasionally but not constantly and it uses dhcp, so I am unsure of how to proceed.

Oh, and if I am posting in the wrong sub forum, I am sorry. I hope someone can move me if that is the case.

Found the thread to reset to factory default so I am good there, sorry bout the noobishness, lol.

Okay, after I figured out how to do the factory reset. I re-entered the network information and it started downloading a kernel update. So it appears I have fixed the issue. Thanks for the help everyone.
