Help Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting

Hoping someone can help. I've been having some problems with Wi-Fi lately. I don't know why, but all of a sudden my Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting every so often when the phone goes into sleep mode. I first I thought it was the Wi-Fi in my house since we don't have the best Wi-Fi but it does it on any Wi-fi network; My work, school, library, and public places that has Wi-Fi. Don't know why it's happening. As soon as I hit the home button and the phone lights up it reconnects to Wi-Fi.

My phone is through Sprint if that makes a difference.

Goto settings > WiFi > tap the left soft key (options) tap advanced >tap second option "KEEP WIFI ON DURING SLEEP" and specify...

Hope this sets you right.

Lmao u keep sayin exactly what i would mate.
I have it set the opposite to maybe save some battery :)

I just started having this issue recently at home, I don't notice it as much on my University's wireless network, then again I don't pay as much attention, but I feel like I would have noticed it...when at home, my WiFi keeps disconnecting then reconnects. It's a Netgear WNDR3400v2 if that matters, and it works fine, I stream Netflix nightly with no disruptions at all, so I know it's not my network. I don't seem to have the same set of options as mentioned above, but I do see under Advanced a 'Keep WiDi on during sleep' and it's set to Always...anything else I should try? I've had the phone for four months now, just started now, it's on Verizon network...
Thanks!

Could possibly be due to a lease expiration as issued by your router, sometimes they can be set to as little as every hour.

Possibly a wifi timer setting, if active on your phone.

Also keep in mind that your phone only has one wifi adapter, although it's 2.4 & 5ghz capable, it can only do one thing at once, be it, wifi direct, hotspot, or connect to your home router.

Another thing to consider is any nearby open wifi broadcasts, as your phone may try to connect to them periodically.
