Help Wi fi keeps dropping out, why?

Hi,

Does anyone know why I'm having to keep going into my settings and having to keep re connecting my wifi? Having to do this every 5 minutes! Very annoying! It'll be fine for a few mins then things slow down on the browser and I check the settings and its stock on the ' authenticating' process bit! Arrrrrrrrggggh!

WiFi is a bit of an issue with the first release of Gingerbread. Try assigning yourself a Static IP or turning off 3G whilst connected, see if those make a difference.

Are you branded? HTC have patched the issue so if you've no network logo etc, you might have another update waiting?

That's obviously presuming it's the GB WiFi issue.

When I forward internet via wifi to my computer I often see the computer renewing the connection. I suppose this is a related problem. I have an unbranded phone and 2.50.405.2

i hv the same issue too.. im on miui rom.. ill try static ip

Go to Wifi settings>Menu >advanced>and put a check on best wifi performance .!!!
See if that works....!!!!

no option fr tht on my rom.. i think the wifi got fixed by the rom itself
