Wi-fi looses connection after seconds it gets connected

Whenever i switch on my wi-fi of my galaxy s duos, the connection sets up for few seconds but later i am not able to send /receive or open any webpage.
Though the wi-fi connection shows as "very strong" signal.
please help with a solution...

I had the same problem on my GN at work. My MAC was blacklisted. It works just fine at home.
