Help Wi-Fi tethering app

Hey guys I just rooted my LG optimus v and I was looking for a specific tethering app.normal tethering apps turn 3g / 4g data into a wifi signal, but I am looking for one that turns wifi into wired internet connection, via USB.

I ask because my 2004 emac doesn't have a wireless internet card and I didn't want to pay for one if my phone could use its tethering abilities instead. I looked at easytether but it doesn't support my software.
Any help? Cheers.

Thanks for the reply, but pdanet doesn't support my Mac which is running OS X 10.3. Pdanet only supports OS X 10.5 or greater. Macs suck.

I would then suggest looking into EasyTether. They have a free version but you can't access https sites with it... but you can pay a fee of $9.99 per year, I believe, and it'll relinquish access to those sites.... that's the downside since PDANet does it free.

If you haven't actually *tried* PDANet, I would attempt it as I've read even though it "says" it doesn't work, some people have had luck with it doing so.

I used PDANet repeatedly via wifi on my desktop computer that I didn't have a Wifi adapter for.

You know can make the Optimus V a Android Access Point sort of like MiFi or VM version instead of dealing with usb cables, works heck bit fast then the usb method .

I tried easytether and it doesn't work. I guess I have to get a new desktop.

Mac's don't suck it just sounds like it is time to upgrade from the one you have and if it's running Panther then it is definitely overdue.

But there-in lies the problem. My mac's hardware capabilities only allow it to run up to 10.5 After looking on amazon, I found that it costs upwards of $999, $699 on sale. As for 10.4, that costs around $500. What really baffles me, is that the most recent os, 10.6, brand-spanking new costs $25.

Why are outdated OS's so pricey? I could buy 3 or 4 windows computers for the price of one simple upgrade on my PoS Mac! Apple products are ridiculously over-priced.
