Root wi fi tethering

hello,
Just wondering if there is a way to keep people from jumping on my Wi Fi tethering app.

Yeah there is a way hit your menu button and then select "settings" then check the box "Enable Wifi-Encryption" and make a passphrase. That way if anyone tries to connect to it they need the passphrase (password), also If you check "Enable Access-Control" you can have pre selected authorized things be able to connect.
