Which do you prefer?? I was wanting to try widget locker but don't think 15 min is enough to try ....just my opinion

Widget locker is great for customizations and look....and tbh if i wasn't.rooted id be using it as i've grown to hate puzzle unlock....however its like adding another launcher to your system...,so it could impact performance if you have say touchwiz and lp both installed already

Personally i love glass unlock for root as most themes have custom sliders anyway. :)

Ummmmmm so having multiple launchers is bad??? I have like 4, lol. I like the glass unlock too, but miss being able to go straight to a text from the lockscreen.

I like widget locker for a couple of reasons: alternate wallpaper on lock screen, and your notification bar is active on lock (ie you can pull it down). Of course having multiple sliders can be useful but whether any of this stuff is worthwhile is up to you.

I got widget locker just to be able to wake the phone with buttons other than power (Im guessing at some point the power button will die!), but I like the ability for custom sliders......my favorite is the camera action slider, because now its not a pain to startup the camera.

I havent noticed any huge slowdowns while using it, I have LPP ADW and Zeam installed but only Zeam is active.

Right! Volume button wake! It's a bunch of little things more so than the extra sliders for me.

I broke down and tried it, but I wasnt a big fan of the sliders that much. I wish there would of been a way to give the sliders themselves like a black bockground instead of just the clear slider. I do however love the camera slider as well!!!! I think I will stay with what I have for now, but thank you all for the feedback.

Widget Locker can sort of be themed, you basically decompile the APK and swap out the correct images. Not the easiest thing in the world but not hard either.

Im going to attempt to snag some of Nitsu's images and get them to theme my Widget Locker install (his slider images match his themes, but Widget Lockers defaults dont even come close)

I'm using widgetlocker and like it, but it essentially shows three different ways to unlock the screen - the sense downslide (like my old Eris unlock), a horizontal slide (like froyo's standard) and a simple push button at the top middle. How do I get rid of all the extras if all I want is the vertical down slider?

personally i love the widgetlocker. i like that i can have two wallpapaers. i love the slider have it set up like an iphone.

As devils' advocate, I use No Lock. I just pushed the power button to light the screen, why do I want a second, unnecessary step before I can use the phone?

As a free alternative to Widget Locker, you might try Executive Assistant. I haven't used it myself, but it looks promising.

Love using widget locker for the fact of having widgets and shortcuts on my lock screen. I have Poweramp and Weatherbug elite widgets and Handcent shortcut. I also customized my sliders to include camera, flashlight, phone.

So I purchased widgetlocker thinking it would replace my regular lock screen. Since my work (Exchange server) requires a password I have 2 unlock sliders. Is there a way to only have one and make widgetlocker go directly to the password input?
