Widgets on Lockscreen?

I would like to put my widgets on my lockscreen, like BattStat and Tajm. i have a htc wildfire, do i need an apo? I tried widgetlocker, it sucked.

Just curious, what didn't you like about widgetlocker? It adds widgets to your lock screen... so what are you specifically wanting that widgetlocker didn't provide?

WidgetLocker has always worked flawlessly for me. I have used it on my Droid, Droid X, MT4G, and now my Nexus S. Best lockscreen I have found and when new ones come out they never quite measure up to WidgetLocker. If that didn't work for you, I think you are just out of luck.

It had a delay of showing up.

OP: there's a tutorial within Widget Locker that explains that behavior as being caused by the OS immediately after the screen is turned off. So long as it's not turned BACK on within ~5 seconds, it should pop right up instead of the default. Is that what you're referring to?

Or if your phone is rooted you don't have that 5 second delay

true, but if there's a delay, that's likely not the case
