Root wierd call settings on new rom... loudspeaker all time ?

as title, every call i make or receive it will go on automatic loudspeaker, and has tried to load up car panel / car dock a few times on its own..

i have since installed a new rom completely and still doing it..

before i even got through the initial setup picking language location etc it had the car dock icon in the notification bar..

now the only thing i can work out is physically my charge cable has been bent a little where it goes into the phone after packing it for holiday must have been crushed... would this cause it to physicially think there was a dock cable in place ?

any help is appretiated its winding me up having loudspeaker all the time

Check the usb socket is in tact

it looks fine to me, ive changed my cable over now so gonna see if that will fix it...

if it keeps doing it what are my options ?

It usually is to do with the phone thinking it is docked, so its usually hardware. may be needs a repair? Dont quote me on that though.

well i have no idea why this has happened only yesterday n today ive ntoiced.. will doing an RUU sort it maybe, as either wayt im gonna need to do one to get it repariable under warenty.

n on that note, got the RUU for the unbranded froyo 2.2 ... i could put the gingerbread one on there as it wont void the warrenty as i was talking to a htc rep rearlier about it.

jus dun wanna risk it having repair, then coming back with the locked bootloader..

or can you think of other things to try to reset the phones memory of being docked... whipe etc? as i did that this mornin installed RCmix i beleive and it is still there, even when i exit car mode it still stays on loud speaker...

Well the gingerbread one does have a locked bootloader. I think its hardware related tbh, but I cant say for sure.

ok so im taking it abck for repair.. i need to unroot... but the ruu wont run saying it isnt connected via usb which it clearly is... whats the other way to run one... a pb image ? ..zip file ?

can i get a download link for it please
