Does turning on WiFi disable or turn off 3G? Because i cant get multimedia texts while on WiFi, but as soon as i turn it off i can

Yes, when WiFi is on the 3G data is off, no point in having two radios on. But in order to get mms you need to be on data, the one downfall to being on WiFi.

Not sure if this is completely true... I've gotten MMS on WiFi a few times... no problem occured.

Yes 3G is disabled but you should still get your MMS messages. You may want to check with the sprint store and see if there is something wrong with the phone. I get MMS's all day while on wifi.
This statement you are making is not true. I am on Wifi all day and still get my MMS messages. Yes the 3G connection is suspended when on WiFi, there is no need for 2 data connections to be running at the same time.
