Help Wifi and general signal

Hi there, currently while holding the phone in landscape it suffers from a huge loss in signal strenth for both HSDPA and WiFi. I have tried holding it in different ways and still it has this issue. Does anyone else have this problem, in portrait it also suffers badly of a death grip :(

Can this be resolved by a software update?

The wi-fi radio is on the top of the phone, by the ear piece. The cellular radio is towards the bottom (2 small holes on the back cover actually lead to the test pots). For wi-fi, have you enabled "Best Wi-Fi performance", under the "Advanced" wi-fi settings?

I forgot to update the page but yes, I have enabled the “Best WiFi Performance” and that solved that issue. I’m still getting the ‘dead grip’ no matter how I hold the phone which is annoying.

All of the HTC phones that I've experienced, on AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mo, have all had weaker dBm numbers than other phones, while in the same location...both in and out of their respective carriers' stores.
