Help Wifi and Sync

1.) What is the point of turning wifi on when I am at home? Does it converve battery or make the internet run faster?

2.) If I turn sync off will my contacts that are sync'd from facebook photos become blurry?

Also, if i leave sync on all the time does this use alot of battery

3.) How do I disable gmail from delivering email to my phone.

1) depends on your home internet speed. for me it has been easier on my battery
2) no. no
3) Settings, accounts, gmail, uncheck sync gmail
