Help Wifi Calling

Well I'm making the switch to T-Mobile for a different device, but I get bad service in my apartment so I was thinking of picking up a cheap device with wifi calling. I've heard mixed answers on whether or not the Optimus T has wifi calling despite the fact that T-Mobile's own website shows that it does. I figured why not ask the people here? Does the Optimus T have wifi calling and do you find it works well? Thanks in advance. :)

Yes it is there, but only after the OTA update, which may not have rolled out to some phones. If you don't see wifi calling on yours, install the update "the hard way" from lge.com by searching for the phone model. It will tell you your data will be lost during upgrade, but mine wasn't.

Some people have performance issues with Wifi on after the update. I got the impression somehow that it might only affect Belkin routers... I haven't had trouble, and my router is not a Belkin.

Can't comment on how well wifi calling works because I don't use it.

My Optimus T has Wifi calling and it works fine. It isn't as clear as my BlackBerry 9700 on UMA and has some warbling from time to time on my connection, especially when others in the house are soaking up bandwidth from my router. Had a dropped call once when I think my daughter was streaming video. But it's a good solution if you have a bad signal indoors.
