When I open a wifi connection or allow use of apn certain apps will enable without me telling them to such as mediahub, socialhub, email, etc. How can I keep these programs from switching themselves to active when I turn wifi or apn on? Stock non rooted phone. Its just tedious to have to open settings and close them via the running programs page.
this is due to data mining and spying.
you will find when you open a gaming app, or almost any app, it will spawn like an alien and data mine your other apps to see what is on your phone, including your phone number/sim number/phone serial number (imsi and imei), browser history, bookmarks, etc., etc., etc.
sadly i have found with my past at&t samsung captivate, and my new galaxy s2, if you open one app, even your gallery, almost every single other app opens up. all those free apps are usually worse - just ask yourself - why would anyone do something for free? no one works for free.
this is regardless of wifi or not.
no need to believe me - just look at the permissions on your apps and you will see how invasive apps are now to spy / data mine.
this is done to do market research and see what users have on their phones, and then sell that information for marketing research.
