Root Wifi connect problems with nook running phiremod

Has anybody else had any issues getting their nooks to connect to wireless networks? Mine seems to get stuck... It will say 'connecting', then the connect will fail, then the network will appear out of range or disabled. Sometimes recreating the network manually will fix the problem, sometimes it won't. I saw a fix on another website, but as an android newbie it kind of went ovet my head. Help?! I LOVE my nook otherwise, so I'm really hoping someone can help me out here...

I have a rooted Nook Android that won't connect with the internet using an access password. With open networks it comes in fine. I've searched the router configuration for what might be blocking it and have no luck identifying the obstacle. Any ideas?

"internet with an access password"? What is that?

Most of us have some form of Internet access (dsl or cable) and plug a wireless router into the modem and use that.

Is this someone else's router that you're sharing or renting or is this a commercial ISP (internet service provider)?

Usually you pick the wifi access point and type in a phrase or bunch of random characters and it connects or fails, not rocket science. Unless they restrict access via a "mac address" (unique to just your Nook), simply typing in the correct key should make it work.

Maybe you should be asking the person who gave you the access code? :D

O/W you might need to change the security protocol to work with your Nook. Is your Nook stock? Rooted? Running CM7 or MIUI?
