Help Wifi connection issues

Hi All, I just got my SII and have been noticing a problem with connecting to my school's wifi. I just came from the Captivate, and I would always have all bars maxed out and it would connect fairly quickly. Now with the SII it is experiencing problems connecting, often saying that it is Disconnected from the network. When it does connect, it will only have 1 or 2 bars, and would frequently disconnect (while my laptop will have full bars sitting next to it).

I have not been able to try this on any other wireless network.

I got my S2 when it first came out and I gotta say that its wireless connecting ability is not the best, connecting to my school campus' wifi was relatively easier and smoother when I was using my ipod touch.
