Wifi Connection issues

I recently broke my galaxy s4 that had great wifi connection at my house. I had an insurance plan on it and recently got a refurbished one. However, this one is having real problems with the wifi. In locations at my house where I had great wifi signal strength (probably 3-4 bars), with my new phone in the same locations I am only getting 1 or 2 bars max.
Does any one have any suggestions or has experienced similar problems?

I went through the same issue with a replacement. Turned out to be a bad Wi-Fi receiver in the phone. Get another exchange from your carrier.

Agreed. Take it back. Refurbs, from my experience, seem to have more problems out of the box than new phones. Makes me wonder what exactly they do to refurbs. Probably not much hoping the new owner won't notice the original owner's problem.
