Help Wifi connection problem

I can't make my tablet connect to my wifi. The problem started after an automatic software update. Before that the connection worked perfect. I have tried to reboot the rooter, and to change advanced settings according to a tip in android forum. Unfortunately it didn't work. Anyone that can help me with other suggestions?

To test the router; try to connect another computer to the same router. (a smartphone or a Kindle or laptop)

I can't think of anything else to try that you haven't already. It may be time to bite the bullet and do a factory reset on the phone and see if it fixes the wifi issue. That sucks, I know, but it's worth a shot as a last resort anyway.
