Help WiFi Crashing Phone?

After a lot of testing I'm convinced that turning WiFi on, and then the phone going in to sleep mode for a couple minutes crashes my phone. I cannot get it to respond at all unless I pull the battery and power back up. I am not rooted currently.

I am just curious if I am the only one having this problem. I have not read of anyone else feeling this is an issue.

If I just missed it, is there a fix?

I'm probably going to update the software soon just for fun and hope that helps.

You could try charging the wire less sleep settings to never. Go to your wifi settings then hit menu then advanced settings.

I think update phone software is a good solution. I did it immediately after got phone and all is working perfect with latest B08 rooted.

Doesn't it eat your battery if you set WiFi to "never sleep"? I've updated to B08 using the Settings - About Phone - System updates - and have updated PRL, Profile, ZTE software, and Firmware but my Warp still intermittantly crashes. Often WiFi will not turn on right away when I turn it on in Wireless & nettworks. Sometimes I have to reboot to get it to come on. Under Market - Menu - Settings - I have Update over Wi-Fi only checked so that my apps don't try to contantly update throughout the day over the 3G network. I love this phone but am becoming more and more frustrated with it's erratic behavior.

BoostBuddy setting wi-fi to never sleep does not eat the battery life the day i set my phone this was was the last lockup i ever saw on my phone again.
