Wifi dongle

Hi all,

Can I use my phone so it becomes a wifi adapter to pick up the wireless network in the house?

I have a second pc up and running now, and until I get a separate adapter I wondered whether the phone could be used for such a thing.

It has the ability to tether it's internet connection so I can't see why you couldn't.

Ive used it to tether my data allowance on it, but not as a adapter.

I want to grab some pretty big files you see. Hence the reason for it to be a dongle.

Well as far as I'm aware, if it's connected to wi-fi, then that takes precedence over the mobile network so as long as you connect to the wi-fi point (maybe do it before you start the tether just to make sure) I believe it would use that.
