Help WiFi dropping when screen goes off

I know this has been discussed before, but I couldn't see any solution. I use my home WiFi connection with my desire but usually when the screen goes off, so does the connection. I have WiFi set to never sleep BUT I do use juice defender which could be interfering with the connection. Anyone have any thoughts ? Thanks. Robin.

Uninstall juice defender and see if it still does it?

So obvious really... thanks bigt. Taken JD off and the connection doesn't drop. I don't known what to do now. Juice defender has definitely helped save battery on 3g. Do I let JD close and reopen the connection or leave WiFi on permanently at home ? Does WiFi use less resources than 3g ?

Personally I find 3g uses more battery etc especially in low signal areas when it is always renegotiating a connection

wifi should be less power hungry than 3g, but on android 2.3 I am finding the roles reversed.
