Root Wifi error and more

I bought a used rezound and found that it was already unlocked with s-off. The wifi is not working or bluetooth, i get an error. So I tried flashing some roms to see if that would fix it. Every rom I try bootloops. So I tried flashing the latest ics ruu, I am on GB. That would not boot past the HTC white screen. So I flashed the GB ruu and I am back where I started, no wifi. I have also tried flashing the stock kernel with no luck. If anyone can help me trouble shoot this it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

deleted. Not sure if loss of WiFi is a ROM/kernel or ROM/boot image mismatch, but it is one of the 2.

Have you tried this procedure?
Stock Rooted ROM - Vigor - WWE 2.01.605.11 - Downloads - Scott's ROMS

It requires flashing the ZIP file first (the ROM, flash from recovery) and then immediately flashing the PH98IMG boot image from HBOOT (power off, then press volume down + power). So put both on your SD card and flash them back to back. Then reboot. Rename PH98IMG on the SD card when done so it doesn't get automatically processed later.

By the way, if you're s-off, the phone's HBOOT version can be flashed too. Make sure your HBOOT and ROM match - if your ROM is GB, your HBOOT must be 2.1x. If your ROM is ICS, HBOOT must be 2.2x.

The PH98IMG.zip that I flashed in hboot was the original ruu released by verizon.
I think. It contains everything you need. I think.

wifi errors typically are becasue of a kernel/module mismatch, but running the full, signed, factory ruu definately should have fixed all that. . going backwards in firmware seems to confuse the rezound, for some reason, normally causing unstable data, but i guess its possible wifi may be affected instead,or as well

assuming the phone still contains the stock recovery, boot to hboot and pick the "clear storage" option,if you havnet tried that allready. failing that, you might try the "factory reset" option in hboot,as both of these things seem to fix the unstable data issues. again,it is important to do this with the stock recovery in place. it seems to be cleaning out some areas that amon or clockwork cannot.

Do you think its a hardware issue? Why do you think I cant flash any other roms or update to ics?

it sure sounds like the wifi is a hardware problem. :(

when you ran the ruu,did it finisch completely? might try it again, then clear storage after.

if it hangs again, try the 2nd flash as suggested above :)
